Mountain Cycle Inc. Ecommerce
|
In 2009, Design Ronin was engaged by Ideation Ltd, a Taiwan based company that had acquired the US based mountain bike brand Mountain Cycle. As part of various projects undertaken for Mountain Cycle, Design Ronin undertook the design and implementation of the Mountain Cycle e commerce platform. Developed and rolled out over the course of a year and a half, as Mountain Cycle’s product range and exposure grew, the e commerce solution developed for Mountain Cycle Inc. had to not only sell product but also act as the masthead for the brand’s online presence. With each forward step of the brand, the following iteration of the website reflected the change until mid 2011, the final rendition of the site was launched. The roll out methodology also allowed for a close study of the online buying behaviour of the core market as well as finding the best way to integrate the online store with the pre-existing ‘bricks and mortar’ back end functions, without having to invest is costly integrated systems.
